Maple Leaf Counseling

At Maple Leaf Counseling, we know humaning is hard, and we also know therapy makes it easier.

I named our practice after the maple leaf, because its leaf – like people – are unique and resilient. Its life phases, from spring bud, to summer green, autumn color and eventually, fallen leaf, mimic our human seasons of life as well.

Maple leaves are lined with interconnected veins, a visual metaphor for people, as we live and grow in relationships with one another.

Although we might feel overwhelmed and hopeless in the face of life transitions and challenges, with guidance, we can reclaim control and happiness in our lives. Sometimes our mind can get stuck in  unhelpful patterns of thinking, but in counseling, we can investigate our thoughts and remake these patterns. We can emerge from therapy sessions with thought patterns that empower our lives, instead. The human spirit possesses an inherent ability to heal, grow, and change. Our aim is to assist people in accessing their inner resources for healing, enabling them to live the life they choose and desire.

Our therapists share a common commitment to providing high quality client-focused care and offer powerful tools so you can build resilience, foster greater self-understanding and self-esteem. Grounded in a unique family systems model, we promote meaningful connection with others as we strengthen ourselves and our healthy boundaries. We also build sessions that are individualized and custom tailored to your needs and goals.

We look forward to supporting you, no matter where you are in life.

In good health, warmly,

Dr. Antoinette Ibrahimi
