Amanda Anies, Clinic Coordinator
Hi, I’m likely the first person you speak to when contacting Maple Leaf Counseling for your therapy needs. I know how it can feel uncomfortable or even a little daunting to start something new like therapy, and so I do my best to make our clients’ experience with us a smooth and comfortable one. That often entails helping them with booking appointments, handling payments, and because insurance can feel complicated, I can also research our clients insurance benefits for them. We have several different therapists in our practice and one of the things I enjoy most is assisting new clients in choosing the therapist that might work best for them and what they’re looking to work on.
Before my time at Maple Leaf Counseling, I worked as a substitute teacher at daycare centers and found that I love working with children and watching them discover the world around them through play. It’s part of what excites me about pursuing advanced studies in marriage and family therapy. Working with young children, especially those with Autism, helped me sharpen my skills in patience, resilience, and attentiveness. I find that these traits inform the way I assist our clients at Maple Leaf.
